Completion of higher education cycle. A higher education certificate (Technical and/or University) in Computing and/or Informatics is valued.
Experience in procedures for the maintenance of computer and printing equipment, installation and maintenance of structured cabling, ethernet and WiFi networks, Access Point, Fortigate, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti configuration of cellular and other satellite mobile devices, and user support through Microsoft tools at first and second level. Advanced Excel and macro experience.
Proactive attitude, adaptability and flexibility, teamwork, customer orientation, commitment and motivation, communication, planning and organization, self-management, and technological awareness.
Proficiency in English or intermediate knowledge (level B).

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization that saves and changes lives by providing food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience, assisting 97 million people in 88 countries each year. In Venezuela, WFP provides food assistance to approximately 200,000 people per month through a school meals program, with the goal of reaching 1.5 million people in areas with the highest incidence of food insecurity by the end of 2023.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires the candidate to be fully prepared to move continuously to and from the various offices where WFP operates, for which assignments they will have per diem, accommodation and security provided by WFP to all its staff.
1. Carry out maintenance operations on computer and communications systems and equipment, as well as monitoring, diagnostic and optimization tasks, to ensure that they function effectively and can be used easily and efficiently.
2. Take care of the maintenance of technology: computer and printing equipment, telecommunications equipment, including standard repair, configuration and storage tasks, in accordance with data protection and access control mechanisms, to ensure that WFP staff have the computer equipment they need available to them.
3. Maintain the asset control system up-to-date, promptly recording the assignment and decommissioning of equipment in each location. You will have all the responsibilities assigned to the Asset Focal Point in your assigned region.
4. Respond to the assignment of tasks by the TEC unit supervisor, ensuring that they are completed in accordance with the agreed standards and deadlines, in order to sustain the effective provision of services.
5. Respond to various types of inquiries about technology and systems to help WFP staff provide their services.
6. With the support of senior colleagues, provide standard training to end users of the technology and systems to ensure that staff effectively use that standard technology and systems.
7. To handle the systematic installation of computer equipment and programs, including testing and troubleshooting, to contribute to the effective operation of the technology.
8. With remote support from the TEC Digital Solutions Associate, install, put into operation and maintain the corporate digital tools required for field operations, supporting staff and implementing Partners in the correct use of equipment and applications.
9. Support the development of standard materials, such as training documentation and web content, by senior officials, so that staff have access to the necessary information about IT services and products.
10. Suggest improvements to methods and processes to support the continuous improvement of IT services.
11. Follow established emergency response processes and procedures, as needed, to help create conditions conducive to meeting emergency food assistance needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Completion of higher education. A higher education certificate (Technical and/or University) in Computing and/or Information Technology will be considered an asset.
Experience: Experience in procedures for maintaining computer and printing equipment, installation and maintenance of structured cabling, Ethernet and Wi-Fi network types, Access Points, Fortigate, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, configuration of cell phones and other satellite mobile devices, and providing first and second-level user support using Microsoft tools. Experience with advanced Excel and macros.
